Job Function:

College student position under direct supervision performing various tasks for MANTECH professional staff. Supports the technical and/or engineering functions to assist staff in preparation of deliverables. May prepare reports and correspondence. Performs other duties as assigned Education and Experience: Current College Year Status: Rising Junior or Rising Senior. Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work.
Demonstrate your skills that you learned in and out of school with the Cyber Advanced Research and Development (CARD) group within ManTech. ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Intern to join our CARD group to be exposed to exciting hands on technical work to grow your skills and obtain a better understanding of the Cyber Security Field. At ManTech, you will work on innovative projects that offer great technical challenges. Interns work on guided projects over the summer that can directly flow back to real contracts. At the end of the summer, all of our interns brief their projects success across ManTech.

Major Job Functions:

  • Write software in C, Python, and/or assembly language
  • Work and collaborate within an agile team as well as with the other interns
  • Reverse engineer system components as necessary
  • Understand the security of systems
  • Research tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and network security and encryption

Preferences :

  • A passion for low-level / embedded software development and engineeringÂ
  • Strong grasp of operating system fundamentals, including interrupts, threading, virtual memory, device drivers and memory management techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating system internals and the integration of code with the operating system kernel
  • Experience with reverse engineering

Requirements:

  • Individuals must be a U.S. Citizen and either hold an active US Security Clearance or must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance. Â

The projected compensation range for this position is $48,400-$80,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
