Job Summary:

The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Disney Cruise Line, Media Networks (i.e. ABC, ESPN), Studio Entertainment, Disney Theatrical Group (e.g., Broadway shows), and Disney Interactive Media in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing, and optimization. Key partners to the DDSI organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research, and Operations. Roles within DDSI develop, analyze, and execute strategies to maximize profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders.

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life:
  • Support the development & implementation of advanced decision & pricing engines for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts
  • Support the technology migration of the advanced decision & pricing engines for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts
  • Improve business processes and drive business value by leveraging technology, data analytics, and statistical modeling
  • Monitor project processes and resolve issues along the way
  • Develop automated analytical solutions


Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience using Python, SQL and/or Tableau
  • Strategic problem solving & analytical skills
  • Knowledge of database structure
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize and set deadlines
  • Ability to clearly document code and processes so others can troubleshoot in the future
  • Experience collecting & analyzing data and reporting on the results
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of forecasting and optimization methods and techniques



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience developing, troubleshooting, and scheduling Python code
  • Experience using IDeaS or HROS revenue management systems
  • Able to work autonomously with little direction or guidance
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences


Required Education

  • Currently enrolled Senior student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field including Computer Science, Computer Programming, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other related quantitative field at an accredited college or university
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher



Preferred Education

  • Working towards a Master’s or higher in a related quantitative field at an accredited college or university

Additional Information:

Eligibility Requirements:

This position will be working remotely.
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available, full-time, 40 hours per week, from January to June 2022
