Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking an Internship Administrator. The Internship Administrator I is responsible for the administration of all for-credit Global Campus internship programs. This role provides direct support to students who participate in the internship program throughout the full duration of the process from inquiry to conclusion of the internship. The Internship Administrator I conducts proactive outreach to inform students of upcoming internship requirements or options. S/he must collaborate with departments and staff across the organization in an effort to support student success and serve as a champion for students who may face challenges in the process.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Coordinate with internship team, academics and career teams as needed to assist students that require or opt into internships or experiential learning as a part of their academic program
- Provide students with guidance and information regarding internship requirements, career research, internship searching, and how to achieve success in the internship application and interview process through one-on-one appointments and consultations
- Builds effective working partnerships with Academics, Academic Advising, and other departments and staff across the SNHU organization to streamline the internship process for students, and expand student access to for-credit internship opportunities
- Proactively outreach students that have the option of doing a for-credit internship or are required to complete an internship in their program
- Serves as champion and advocate for students going through the internship process
- Administration and collection of student and site paperwork to facilitate the internship application and approval process for students across multiple databases
- Communicate directly with internship sites regarding SNHU requirements, paperwork and student and site expectations in order to facilitate the internship approval process and overall experience for all parties
- Monitor and maintain compliance with SNHU, departmental and program specific policies and procedures
- Provide information, training and resources to departments and staff across the SNHU organization to ensure that students receive accurate, consistent information and guidance about the for-credit internship process from all SNHU staff
- Collect data related to student’s end of term internship experience including evaluations and timesheets and provide to stakeholders as necessary
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to support implementation of new projects and processes
- Individually pursue and provide suggestions for professional development
- Represents Career Services at various events as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-2 years of experience working within the higher education sector, preferably in Career Services with knowledge of working with students from diverse backgrounds in an online distance-learning environment
- Ability to think critically, solve problems and work independently and within a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, detail-oriented tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to communicate professionally to common inquiries from students, staff or employers regarding internship requirements and overall process
- Strong understanding of computer applications, especially database systems – must demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel and databases
- Excellent time management skills, able to set and meet deadlines
- Creative, innovative, strategic individual able to anticipate future trends and problems and plan for them accordingly
- Ability to travel as business needs require
- Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable
Experience in online distance-learning environment
Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, multitasking, and organizational skills
Excellent time management skills, able to set and meet deadlines
Creative, innovative, strategic, and able to work independently and collaboratively with others
Able to anticipate future trends and problems and plan for them accordingly
Demonstrate proficiency in operating a Windows-based platform and learn SNHU administrative databases

Work Hours:
Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with one evening shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm
