Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Digital Content Intern to join our Marketing + Creative team, which is L&P’s marketing group that serves the overall company in advertising and more – including everything digital. If you are a strong writer interested in creating compelling online content and analyzing results along the way, you may be the next member of our team!

This internship will be part-time through the spring and may be extended full-time into the summer for the right candidate. While our team is based in Carthage, MO, we welcome remote applicants.

What you’ll do

You will work with the M+C team to research, generate, and execute online content to support marketing efforts for L&P’s business units. While the work you do will vary and may be heavier in some areas than others, here are a few examples of the experience this position can provide:

• 
  Optimizing business and product information for content marketing
• Researching and writing blog articles
• Writing website content
• Planning and creating social media content
• Monitoring social media activity
• Developing email newsletter content
• Preparing analytics reports
• and more!

This is primarily a writing position and will not include design work, although those skills are a bonus.

Minimum qualifications

• Current college student pursuing an education in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Outstanding writing and editing skills
• Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with the web
• Basic understanding of marketing concepts and principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with social media channels and audiences, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Agorapulse)
