Embedded Engineering Intern, AI - Summer 2022

4.2

NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to grow our company, and build our teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.

NVIDIA is seeking an intern for the discovery and development of Deep Learning solutions for autonomous machines including robotics and real-time embedded applications. The individual will be responsible for the development and deployment of innovative AI IoT edge applications in the field of Computer Vision or natural language processing (NLP) on Jetson products. You will have chance to build your own innovative AI application from scratch which can start from gathering datasets, crafting data (sensor) pipeline, and building and deploying deep learning models.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Brainstorm ideas for computer vision and NLP applications on NVIDIA Jetson

  • Develop and experiment with deep learning models which can fit on embedded systems

  • Performance analysis and optimization using NVIDIA’s tools such as TensorRT

  • Build and deploy deep learning models on wheeled robots, robotic arms, etc.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing a PhD, MS, or BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience working with at least one of the deep learning frameworks and programming languages such as Python, C++

  • Previous ROS background and PyTorch experience is a plus

  • Self-driven, motivated and enthusiastic to work on state-of-art machine learning tools

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong self-initiative, interpersonal skills, and resourcefulness with new technology
