Job Description

We are searching for a resourceful and enthusiastic part-time Intern to join our Human Resource team. The HR Intern will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resource department. The Human Resources Internship will provide you with practical HR experience and exposure to key facets of human resources under CA labor law.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling interviews with various departments
  • Coordinate new employee orientation by preparing documentation and updating HR files
  • Ensure HRIS, all internal HR databases, records, and policies are updated and correct
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Update and assign training content on LMS platform
  • Assist HR department with the administration of company benefits and insurance
  • Assist with the coordination of special events, such as company and/or site-wide recreational activities and employee recognition events


Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be able to work 15-25 hours a week
  • Basic knowledge of California labor law including time and labor
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Type a minimum of 55+WPM
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience as a staff assistant or junior HR role is a plus
  • Knowledge of HRIS and/or talent management systems
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field
