Lovepop is looking for an ambitious illustration/graphic design intern to help create and evolve the future of the Lovepop products. We’d love to find individuals with great design and storytelling sensibilities. This position is remote, part-time (approximately 20hrs/week), paid, and for credit. This position works directly with the US product design team to support the development of new and existing product categories.
What you'll do here:
- Create early sketches for new products
- Create initial story and character development for new takes on existing products
- Work with the design team to prepare production-ready illustrations/graphic assets for cards and new products
- Work with a motivated group of individuals remotely!
What you'll bring to the table:
- Strong digital illustration skills
- Knowledge of modern graphic styles
- Can articulate ideas through sketches, illustrations and words
- Comfortable receiving constructive criticism and reworking designs based on feedback
- Comfortable using Photoshop/Illustrator/Procreate
- Ability to balance priorities and stay flexible while delivering projects on-time
- Meticulous and careful with deliverables
- Have a go-getter attitude and can manage work independently and collaboratively
- You are goal driven and excited to do whatever it takes to get to the best possible design
- Can collaborate and communicate with the team seamlessly in a remote environment
You'll be great if you:
- Have experience with whimsical character design, scientific flora/fauna illustration or animation a plus
- Have a unique aesthetic/perspective that is not represented by Lovepop’s current style vocabulary
- Love being a part of a team!
