Human Resources Specialist, Junior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for administering benefits programs, including employee leave management, such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Military leave, and other related programs. Act as key point of contact between help desk and insurance carriers, including all health and welfare programs. Generate reports and complete routine audits within set deadlines to ensure policy and vendor compliance. Partner with HR Business Leads, Payroll, and Finance to ensure accurate benefit deductions, enrollment and other related information. Demonstrate analytical expertise, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects to completion. Deliver outstanding customer service, demonstrate effective communication, and build working relationships. Manage heavy call volumes and employee escalations. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience handling employee inquiries and claim resolution

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power Point

  • Ability to work in a customer service role

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in HR or Benefits or 6+ years of experience in HR or Benefits in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with outsourced programs

  • Experience with WorkDay and Deltek

  • Knowledge of FMLA or ACA compliance

  • HR Certifications preferred

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 44,000 to 55,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
