Communications and Marketing Internship (Spring/Summer 2022)
This position will work remotely for the duration of the internship; applicant must have reliable access to internet. Communication between Intern and NWHM staff will be conducted via telephone, email, and video conferencing.
The National Women's History Museum is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented intern to assist with the Museum's external affairs, communications, and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
Current or recent upper-level undergraduate student in graphic design, communications, marketing, public relations, creative writing, or related field
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledgeable about AP Style
Ability to conduct verifiable online research
Proficient in various software and social media platforms, including Microsoft Word, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Graphic design experience and proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop and Canva a plus.
Must be motivated to work independently

The internship duration is from January 2022 through August 2022. Candidate must be able to work 20 hours per week for a total of 400 work hours over the course of the internship. Intern will receive a stipend of $2,000 (flexibility will be given around class schedules and vacations/time off). While the National Women's History Museum does not grant academic credit, our interns often receive internship credit through their own arrangements with their college or university. We welcome the opportunity to connect with higher education institutions and their internship offices/programs and provide documentation, evaluations, etc.
