Junior Quality Assurance Analyst
Overview: The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst will support implementation of the QA program under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager. The Jr. QA ensures that procedures are implemented and improved to adequately control the development, production, testing, configuration management, execution and support of all deliverables and services. The Jr. QA will perform audits, generate audit reports, track discrepancies and risks, conduct root cause analysis investigations, and evaluate adherence to quality standards. The successful candidate will have a passion for quality and continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth in the field of quality and process.

In your role you will play an important part in optimizing our performance and maximizing the value we bring to our customers’ mission. You will be exposed to a large variety of projects, tools, and techniques across a variety of clients and industries (e.g., Healthcare, Agriculture, Education, Transportation, Defense, and Homeland Security). You will be encouraged and supported in developing your own skills and capabilities and provided the opportunity to mentor and coach others.
Responsibilities:
- Understand auditing principles and techniques including examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting to determine a quality system's efficacy and identify needed improvements to address deficiencies
- Analyze all elements of service, quality, and information security management systems and evaluate adherence to defined criteria
- Inspect process outputs and resulting products in accordance with applicable standards and processes
- Review deliverables for levels of adequacy and conformance to client specifications and alignment to standards
- Conduct process based internal audits for employee awareness, understanding and implementation of expected processes and tools
- Identify and recommend improvements for the overall enhancement and efficiency of corporate, program and project process implementation
- Collaborate with program and project stakeholder to plan, implement and report audit results
- Record and monitor resolution of resulting nonconformities, facilitate root causal analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Work within the QA Team to build out departmental policies and procedures, tools and techniques
- Contribute to team innovation and self-evaluation
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of quality techniques and tools for auditing, causal analysis, and nonconformity management
- Analyze and solve quality problems and participate in quality improvement efforts
- Understand ISO certification requirements and CMMI appraisals
- Ability to plan, schedule, and facilitate teleconferences, record results and next steps
- Familiarity with waterfall and agile approaches to software development
- Fluent with Microsoft Office products, specifically with MS Word, Excel, Project, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Ethical and trustworthy
- Collaborative, able to work within both hierarchical and matrixed organizational structures
- 2 years’ experience as quality analyst, process engineer, or internal process and quality auditor
Education Requirements:
- Associates, Bachelors or higher (or equivalent career experience)
Certification Requirements:
Any of the following are preferred:
- Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Associate
- ISO 9001:2015, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001 auditor
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Lean or Six Sigma training and experience
