Biostatistics Intern

General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship):
The biostatistics intern will participate in statistics methodology research to support drug development under the guidance and mentorship of biostatisticians in Global Statistics & Data Science Group in BeiGene. This role will begin in Summer 2022.
Essential Functions of the Internship:
The intern will conduct:
  • Literature review
  • Development of innovative statistical methods if necessary
  • Creating SAS macro/ R packages/R shiny for statistical analyses if applicable
  • Computer simulations
Education Required:
Currently enrolled students and have complete at least two semesters of graduate work towards a M.S. PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics by May 2022. Ph.D. candidate preferred.
Computer Skills: R and (or) SAS
Other Qualifications:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Bayesian statistics knowledge or course work preferred.
  • R package and/or R shiny development experience preferred.
Travel: < 10%
