Being a part of the AddeU Internship Program, you will be working on a meaningful project(s) that you can feel proud of and present back to the company at the end of the experience. In addition to having a supporting manager and mentor, we have a fantastic onboarding program to get you acclimated and ready for your time with us. Fun events and super cool swag are also included!

At the moment, our 12 week internship experience is remote. Dates are currently set for May - August, 2022 but please consult with your recruiter. Seeking US and Canadian students only.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Communications Intern to join our Communications Team! The Corporate Communications Intern will have the opportunity to help lead and define the future of thought leadership at Addepar. We are looking for someone to conduct research projects on vertical, business and technology publications as well as speaking and awards opportunities. This person will work in conjunction with communications to vet media targets and share reporter relationship recommendations.

In this role, this person will work with the communications team to develop and expand their public relations skills and media intel, and have an opportunity to understand the media landscape across finance and technology sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze reporter coverage and social media presence
  • Uncover new reporter targets based on relevant coverage and industry trends
  • Uncover speaking and awards opportunities for Addepar leadership
  • Prepare organized and informative media lists, speaking and awards calendars
  • Conduct media analysis to compile coverage reports based on company, competitor and trending news
  • Meet with communications team to share findings and rationale

Who You Are

  • Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution (university must be located in the US & Canada) & must be returning to school after internship
  • Available to intern for the full 12 weeks
  • Preferred Major: Journalism, Public Relations (can be an undergrad exploring a career in public relations or communications)
  • Creative thinker with an eye for media trends and compelling stories
  • Desire to learn how to create public relations content ie press releases, media lists, reporter briefing materials, media coverage reports
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
