NOTE: Because this is a student internship, candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program.

This is a full-time Intern position located in Richardson, TX. The position will be temporary in nature and last approximately 3 months.

Job Summary:

The Intern in this group will help support the Biosensor production ramp by reviewing production data and working with line operators to identify inefficiencies, identify low cost, easy to implement changes to improve cost quality and/or cycle time and take projects through identification, justification, realization and productization.

Desired Degree:

BS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers and operators to identify difficult assembly steps.
• Review production data for difficult assembly steps.
• Design small tooling to improve cost, quality and or cycle time.
• Propose product design improvements.
• Estimate and later document improvements.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of Lean.
• Experience in database query.
• Experience in 3D CAD preferably Solidworks.
• 3.0 GPA or higher
