Withum is seeking Verification Interns for Spring 2022

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you must be a freshman or sophomore interested in pursuing a career in public accounting with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher and excellent interpersonal and computer skills. Candidates must be detail oriented and reliable. This internship will start on January 17, 2022 and continue through April 15, 2022.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

• Utilizing software called 1040SCAN that utilizes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology and verify efficiency of the software's operations
• Verifying and inputting 1040 tax data submitted by clients and scanned into software
• Constantly focusing on details and accuracy of the software's functionality to successfully prepare tax documents for clients
• Helping maximize efficiency in the 1040SCAN software to facilitate paperless tax workflow
• Providing solutions to errors in 1040SCAN operations to ensure effective results from the software
• Utilizing XCM to ensure proper distribution of completed work to the appropriate person to create efficiency in the completion of tax projects
• Working with the tax department workflow and document storage tools
