As talent enablers, our Talent Acquisition team identifies and connects individuals with opportunities at Unum that will help them reach their full potential and advance in their careers. This internship is designed to provide students with real world experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. Interns will be aligned with Talent Acquisition mentors and receive training on candidate engagement and assessment efforts, such as sourcing, conducting resume screens and phone screens, and interacting with candidates in the recruiting process. Interns will also be provided the opportunity to connect with leaders in our People and Communications organization to explore future career paths in HR. The internship will begin in December 2021 and run through March 11, 2022.
- Conduct resume screens and phone screens for candidates across various roles and assess candidate fit.
- Assist with sourcing efforts and build talent pipelines using a variety of tools and our applicant tracking system.
- Support recruiting efforts through outreach to students in identified schools.
- Maintain application status and applicant workflow records in accordance with standard company procedures.
- Update candidate documentation and complete candidate follow-ups (phone calls and / or correspondence) as assigned.
- Handle candidate questions request following designated workflow.
- Assist TA leadership team with projects as needed.
