Job Description

SRI International is an independent, non-profit research institute, delivering unique, scientist-driven solutions for the world’s important challenges.
We are looking for a junior Accounts Payable Analyst to join our AP team. This position is responsible for auditing and processing vendor invoices using the procure to pay software and enterprise system. The invoices must be processed timely and accurately and prepared in accordance with SRI policies. In addition, the AP Analyst will be responsible for managing rework items and interfacing with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues. This will be 100% work remote, within the U.S.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Audit purchase order and non-purchase order invoices
  • Process invoices in accordance with SRI policies
  • Review invoices for unallowable expenses
  • Interface with vendors and internal department to solve payable issues
  • Review data for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Additional projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance, or 2 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed to cover department responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and be organized and detail oriented
  • Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and SAP Ariba
  • Knowledge of GAAP and FAR
  • Knowledge of AP business processes
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
