Jr. to Mid-level, Technical Program / Project Manager - Remote
The Product Release Group is a centralized organization that is responsible for the configuration of Oracle's internal Configuration, Price and Quote (CPQ) system used by world-wide Sales. We support all product configuration-related activities and actively support the New Product Introduction (NPI) release process, as well as support strategic projects associated with Cloud Framework enhancements, journey to cloud transformation, and Sales Operations business requirements.
Preferred Locations when offices reopen (eventually): Rocklin, CA, Austin, TX or Burlington, MA, but open to full remote as well.
Role and Responsibilities:- Collaborates cross-functionally across teams engaged with CPQ and development partners by gathering and documenting requirements, building project plans, managing, and promoting change, and resourcing project activities. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Maintains a communication strategy through which the scope and status of PRG Config Operations initiatives are explained and communicated to all interested parties on a regular basis
- Define effective processes to optimize the development lifecycle in an agile environment. Ensures quality processes and standards are followed, documented, maintained, and accessible
- Assists with end-to-end quality checks of both new and modified configuration models.
- Provide metrics and reports.
- Coordination across teams, stakeholders, organize meetings, help remove impediments reported by the team; manage dependencies, sign off, etc as part of releases
- Follow Agile Scrum processes; host and participate in meetings
- Navigate the SAFe development process and making sure tools and documentation are updated accurately
- As a process gatekeeper responsible for making sure processes are documented and followed. Recommend process improvement opportunities.
- Monitor project management tools like Jira, Confluence, BugDB/support ticket queues and proactively engage with the team.
- Assists with testing and troubleshooting application issues.
- Track release process changes that impact CPQ Configuration across various environments.
- Minimum 4+ years in project/program management experience handling multiple projects and priorities for various corporate-wide initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing detailed project plans, deployment playbooks to monitor and track progress for cross-team enterprise projects.
- Expertise in multiple project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Prior experience with SAFe development process is very desirable.
- 2 years of expertise using JIRA, confluence, bugDB, etc. Proficient in writing Jira JQL scripts, developing boards, defining workflow, report generation, designing/organizing confluence page.
