SES Environmental is looking for an intern to work approximately 12 or more hours per week during the school year and will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of areas in environmental consulting including environmental engineering, natural resource management, disaster management planning, and hazardous waste management. Located in Jacksonville, FL but will consider remote work as well. Full-time work during the summer months may also be possible.

Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Data management and organization.
• Data analysis.
• Environmental sampling/monitoring equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Report writing and compilation.
• Opportunities for environmental field work with appropriate training also possible.

Skills/Education:

• Qualified candidates should be enrolled or a recent graduate in an undergraduate or graduate Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Planning, Environmental Policy, or related program.
• 40-Hour OSHA training is a plus.
• Relevant work experience, including field work and use of environmental sampling/monitoring equipment is a plus.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong technical writing ability, spoken and written fluency in English.
• Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet software, and databases preferred.
• Must be able to provide transportation to and from work.

Candidates may be exposed to various weather conditions while performing field work outside.

Compensation:
$10/hour
