About the team


SAP’s Industry Business Unit for the Public Sector (IBU PS) is a global organizational unit helping all levels of government to maximize public value. SAP for Public Sector solutions enable governments to optimize limited resources in public administration across a wide range of government functions, from accounting and procurement to case management, and from taxation to social services.


We are seeking a temporary part-time Intern (working student) to work with the American branch of the IBU PS. Ideally, the candidate’s course of study would be related to Public Sector, or they would at least have an interest in Government.


What you’ll do:


Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Global Public Sector

Location: Virtual US

Expected Start Date: November 2021

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months


In this role, you’ll:


  • Industry research and monitoring
  • Content authoring and promotion
  • Project planning and controlling
  • Other tasks and projects as directed


Who you are:


We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.


  • Recently completed a Bachelor or equivalent, ideally majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business
  • Solid familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities/complexities
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to take ownership and be adaptable
  • Analytical competencies and a capacity to communicate clearly – verbal and written
  • Calm under pressure and respectful of others’ ideas and opinions
  • Customer mindset
  • Business fluency in English required


  • This Intern role is paid part-time. You MUST be eligible to work approximately 20 hours per week in the USA.
  • You MUST be available to work for 6-12 months from November/December 2021 for 2.5/3 days each week.
  • Candidates MUST be postgraduate students (Masters / PhD).
