Project Management Summer Intern (CTO PMO)
About our group:
The CTO Office PMO manages projects for the Seagate Research organization. Seagate Research has grown rapidly in the past ~ 2 years to over 100 staff and ~ 50 R&D Programs. The organization includes a strong and diverse global engineering team that is focused on planning and pursuing Seagate’s 10-year roadmap for data systems, data transport and data storage architectures for IT4.0.
The PMO team exists within a partner organization to Seagate Research, called the Office of the CTO. The mission of this PMO is to provide excellent program/project management results to Seagate Research and to serve as an example of excellence in program/project management for all of Seagate.
As part of our PM practice, we follow the Seagate-defined process for managing Technology Development Projects (TDPs), the Seagate Research Phase Gate Process, and also use best practices from PMI, Lean, and the Scaled Agile Framework.
About the role - you will:
- Work closely with PMs and engineering stakeholders to define, design, and implement web-based project workflows and communications via web pages and dashboards.
- Interview stakeholders to define requirements.
- Document requirements and proposed solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation.
- Design and implement web-based solutions, with frequent check-ins with stakeholders to make adjustments that will result in delighted satisfaction in the end results.
- Use technologies within the Seagate IT infrastructure such as (but not limited to) SharePoint, O365, PowerAutomate, LucidChart, Smartsheet, and Tableau
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Your experience includes:
- Demonstration of previous design work (e.g., web sites, communication materials, dashboards, presentations, etc)
- Projects automating data flows, workflows, single-source, communications, or other repeatable tasks and information.
- Visual design and presentation skills
- Proven ability to capture loosely described preferences as documented requirements, and ability to re-interpret back for confirmation and refinement
- Understanding of low-code applications and workflows
- Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet)
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or other related degree and enrolled in Fall 2022 courses.
Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base hourly range for this position: $17-$21. Actual hourly range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
