About the position
We are looking for a Marketing Intern who is eager to hone their social media marketing skills. The Social Media Marketing Intern will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about social media and lifestyle content. You understand that it's not just about what resonates with the audience, but why it resonates. You have a keen eye for content that sparks engagement and creates conversation. This is a remote, hourly position with substantial potential for growth for the right person. Although we would ideally like this person to be in Austin, TX, we will consider applicants from anywhere in the United States.
Hourly Pay: $17
Internship Length: 4 months with possibility of extension
Hours: 15 - 20 hrs per week

Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and publish links, posts, and videos for multiple sites across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Monitor discussions, posts, comments and messages across multiple Facebook pages and other social media platforms.
- Relay customer support questions to our Support team, as needed.
- Analyze link, video, and photo performance on social platforms and deliver feedback to the team with actionable insights.
- Think outside the box to find creative solutions for day-to-day tasks (work smarter, not harder).
- Engage with followers, brand partners, and influencers across social platforms, including retweeting, liking, resharing, responding to posts, and identifying opportunities for potential brand partnerships.
- Brainstorm engaging campaign ideas and identify new areas of growth in our social media presence.
- Work cross-functionally with the design, seller, merchandising, and marketing teams to support our social media channels.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Either has a degree or is working towards a degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or linguistics (preferred but not required).
- Understanding of the digital landscape and a proven interest in keeping up-to-date with developments in web platforms and applications.
- Ability to express learnings and share knowledge through writing in an effective way.
- Self-motivated, with an openness to fluctuating workload.
- Able to meet deadlines with good time management and flexibility.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Later, Canva, and Sprout Social is preferred.
