The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a Market Risk Summer Intern to join our 2022 Summer cohort.
What you'll be doing:
  • Develops and enhances operational processes including daily risk exposure validation and hedging performance
  • Analyzes daily/weekly P/L and creates tools for generating performance attribution
  • Manages and interprets database-driven results to facilitate hedging and reporting
  • Creates and provides hedge performance reporting that feeds hedging strategy and enables risk mitigation improvements
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
  • College rising- junior or senior
  • Must have availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between the dates of June 6, 2022 – August 5, 2022
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Education concentration in Mathematics, Statistics, Hard Science/engineering or Actuarial Science
  • Knowledge of VBA, mySQL, Python
  • Knowledge of linear algebra and optimization techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice-to-haves:
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or external clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
