Junior Data Analyst
ABS Group is a global professional services company. Our Global Government division, headquartered in Arlington, VA, provides a broad array of technical and management consulting services to meet the needs of federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation, the United States Coast Guard, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
This entry-level opening is for a Data Analyst to support a government agency in the Washington, DC area. The role may be remote, outside DC Metro. The candidate will work on a team with diverse skill sets and clients to meet project requirements and provide end-user support. Our team members work to inform decision makers how to best address their most complex challenges to improve business operations and meet stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the government clients to analyze data sources related to federal government grants.
- Create data visualizations with Tableau.
- Analyze and provide insights from multiple data sources.
- Provide overall consulting services to government clients.
- Collect, compile, analyze, and interpret data independently and as part of a team.
- Develop tailored briefing materials and reports to communicate concepts, analysis, results, and recommendations to a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Present your work to small audience and your team to support client decisions.
- Maintain a positive working environment, growth mindset, and can-do attitude to foster productive and healthy team and client relationships.
Requirements Include:
- 1-3 years of data analysis and/or management consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau required.
- Strong capabilities in Excel and robust understanding of other Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to distill information, develop insights, and work alongside clients to solve complex challenges.
- Ability to be a self-starter, team player, and leader in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Must possess strong interpersonal communications and teamwork skills.
- Takes ownership of projects and can prioritize assignments based on client’s needs.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance, requiring U.S Citizenship.
