Jr. Analyst - Retail Inventory

The Jr. Analyst for Retail Inventory will be responsible for tracking retail inventory from stock-in to RQC/listed. This will drive down cycle time and improve GPPU by resolving dwells and inventory discrepancies. The increased feedback and push to list will reduce the number of pricing changes before the vehicle is available for a customer to purchase and help to improve our recon WIP levels. This role will be focused on solving inventory discrepancies and maintaining inventory health through system updates and inventory investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze inventory discrepancies through reporting and problem-solving skills

  • Identify process gaps and develop a specific action plan to close them

  • Assist in operational processes to assist in continually improving efficiency and accuracy of inventory management/tracking

  • Drive changes by identifying improvement areas through data-driven insights, developing recommendations, and modeling change scenarios

  • Serve as a liaison cross-functionally working with Acquisitions, Recon, Logistics, Accounting, and Tech.

  • Assist in the QA, monitoring, and identification of improvements around inventory analytics

  • Perform ad hoc analyses, forecasts, and develop dashboards (e.g. in Salesforce or Looker) as requested by recon, logistics, and other business teams

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Excel and G-Suite

  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills

  • Salesforce Experience Certification is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Looker and the ability to learn new reporting skills on the fly

  • Experience working with purchasing or inventory teams at a technology company

  • Experience in continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma or similar skills) is a plus

  • Experience managing strategic projects with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent business judgment, along with a desire to formulate hypotheses, design tests, and use problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions

  • Understanding of accounting processes related to inventory management
