Junior Level Business Analyst - (Medicaid) (Remote Position)

Summary:

The role of the Business Analysis, Associate is to assist in analyzing business problems, identifying gaps, and providing technical support in areas around basic to moderate information systems. This role assists with several requirements throughout the project life cycle and involves an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements; provide day-to-day support on State program activities.

Working remotely within the United States is acceptable for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop documentation related to moderately complex projects and information systems
  • Apply business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions
  • Provide support in developing use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis to create or modify requirements documents and design specifications
  • Analyze user requirements and client business needs using standard procedures
  • Ensure bi-directional traceability of requirements
  • Track and report status of work assignments and escalate issues and risks
  • Act as a liaison between the client and technology teams

Experience Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of business analysis experience or related work experience
  • Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge in healthcare industry with domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare vertical
  • Knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Visio with working knowledge of the rest of the MS-Office suite of application
  • Can elicit, document, analyze and verify requirements


    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience on medium to large complex information systems projects
  • Domain knowledge of Medicare Medicaid and/or healthcare verticals
  • Strong knowledge in Medicaid Management Information System around Provider Enrollment and related subsystems
  • Experience facilitating and running JAD requirements design sessions etc.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in SQL
