The Role:

Dormify is looking for a motivated and meticulous Data Analyst/Data Science Intern with expertise in reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial Intern to join a rapidly growing startup. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in a relevant field. The intern will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the analytics road map to define the initiatives to improve decision making across the organization
• Create visualizations intended to monitor business performance or uncover interesting trends to investigate
• Help build and maintain executive-facing dashboards
• Set KPI goals across all areas of the business through forecasting using historical trends
• Work with Data Scientist and Product Manager to suggest and develop new A/B tests, UX/UI improvements, and other customer-facing site improvements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Enrolled and actively attended an accredited college or university working towards a degree in an IT, Mathematics, or Statistics-related field.
• Tech-savvy: You are able to pick up new systems and applications quickly
• Excellent communication skills: You will be expected to be cross-functional and will liaise with all of the Dormify teams
• Self-motivated: You take initiative and look for ways you can help other teams better understand their data
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language, or a willingness to learn
• 1+ years experience with Python or similar programming language
• 1+ years of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Some machine learning experience is a plus
• 1+ years experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus
• E-commerce experience a plus (understanding of retail- coloring, etc.)
