FLSA: Exempt
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended hours when requested)

Job Summary
Junior software engineers are responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the software used by the University.
Essential Job Tasks Additional duties may be assigned.
- Documents and maintains existing software functionality.
- Writes, tests and implements new software according to the university's specifications.
- Troubleshoots software and data issues using standard tools and practices to craft an appropriate solution to the issue.
- Provides technical support to the CSU staff, faculty and students.
- Follows industry standard coding and testing practices.
- Keeps current with the latest versions of application development software, techniques and practices as set forth by the team leadership.
- Works closely with other team members and project managers when implementing new software.

Knowledge
- Computers and Software - Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and applicable certifications preferred.

- Java
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
Equipment Used
- Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, faxes, and copiers.
- Software used includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Blackboard, Visual Studio, SQL Server, and internal database software.
- Secure and reliable internet is required for this position.
