System Software Engineer Intern Apache Spark - Summer 2022

We are looking for an intern to help us automate fleet management activities, scheduling, and monitoring that will enable our teams to steam-line operations and maximize compute resource utilization. Being an intern on our team gives you a unique hands-on opportunity to work with NVIDIA's cutting-edge accelerated computing platforms that continue to shape the latest breakthroughs in AI, Automation, Software Development and Data Analysis!
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with Enterprise Products Operations and cross-functional IT teams to translate automation requests into working scripts or programs that automate fleet management activities
- Partner with multiple teams to develop tools that will manage compute resource allocations and GPU server cluster deployments at scale
- Utilize Python and other data science tools to extract insights from various discrete data sources
- Analyze results and present information to help us identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement
What we need to see:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science or related fields
- Experience with coding, scripting, and automation tools (e.g. Saltstack, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Working knowledge of or desire to learn CI/CD, configuration management, and DevOps tooling
- Python or similar scripting, programming skills, and software development techniques
- Familiarity with server management (BMC: iDRAC, ILO, IPMI, etc.)
- Solid Linux and Windows administration and operational skills
- Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self motivated, organized, and proactive

- Knowledgeable about the latest data analytics tools, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and how NVIDIA platforms are being used for data analytics

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that NVIDIA provide the compensation range and benefits offered for this position if performed in Colorado. The base hourly range for this position in Colorado is $31.80 - 43.73 USD.NVIDIA also offers a comprehensive benefits package. We provide health care coverage, dental and vision, 401(K), including company matching and after tax contributions, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave, vacation leave, professional time off, life and disability protection. Employees in eligible sales and positions may also be eligible for commission.
Base pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related reasons.
