Who we are: Dutch Bros Coffee was founded in 1992 by Dane and Travis Boersma. Position Overview:

Dutch Bros is looking for a summer intern to join our Legal team. The Dutch Bros Law Clerk provides the Legal Department with legal research and analysis, transactional support, and systems maintenance. This position provides on-the-job training to law students pursuing a career as in-house or corporate counsel. This role will be required to work up to 40 hours per week, for a duration of 8-12 weeks of summer 2022.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Assist the Legal Department in conducting legal research, completing transactions, organizing and auditing records, and other projects as needed:

• Conduct thorough and exhaustive legal research on a wide variety of topics in diverse areas of law

• Draft comprehensive, but concise, legal memorandum for review by the Legal Department and other executives at Dutch Bros

• Review and prepare draft transaction documents, including contracts, leases, and agency applications and filings

• Edit and critique written work of the Legal Department to ensure the highest quality

• Manage and coordinate projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders

• Data entry and file maintenance

• Analytical support for business units within Dutch Bros

Participate in culture-based activities (as needed):

• Possibility of travel to new and upcoming locations

• Friday “Dub Shots”

• Town Hall (quarterly)

Job Qualifications:

• Enrolled and in good standing at ABA-approved law school, required

• Preference is given to students who require an internship/clerkship for credit

• Ability to communicate persuasively in both written and verbal forms

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with team members

• Able to plan and organize projects efficiently

Competencies:

• Confidence and humility

• Legal research and writing proficiency

• Microsoft Office and Google Docs experience

• Highly organized and efficient

• Experience with file management

• Work well and independently under pressure

• Love the Dutch Bros Coffee culture and work to protect it

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting up to ten pounds

• Must be able to work in a climate-controlled office environment

• Vision must be good, or corrected to normal, to perform normal job duties

• Hearing must be good, or corrected to normal, to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties

• Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary

• Sitting for extended periods of time

• Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
