This Supply Chain Intern position is responsible for assisting AE’s Supply Planning & Assurance team with tasks & projects related to resolving current & future critical material shortages. Ideally this position will be 10-15 hours per week through the 2021-2022 academic year or longer, depending on the candidate’s availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in searching for and securing stock of components via Distributors and Brokers
• Generating and maintaining reports to organize data across multiple users & sites
• Communicating with suppliers regarding purchase order delivery status
• Collaborating with Global Purchasing, Global Commodity Management, Engineering, and other groups to organize data, drive tasks, and resolve shortages
• Various short-term projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required:
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Organizational skills: able to track multiple tasks, keep them organized, and prioritize effectively
  • Teamwork: able to work well within a cross-functional & global team that is primarily working remotely
• Preferred:
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience in Purchasing
  • Previous experience in SAP or other ERP system

EDUCATION:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited University studying Supply Chain Management or other applicable major

COMPENSATION: $16 - $18/ HOUR
