Position/Title: Junior ETL/Informatica Database Developer - 100% Remote

** NOTE: Looking for someone that has just graduated college or possibly 1-2 years experience outside of school. The ideal candidate will have a good SQL development background.

Location: 100% Remote

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for analysis, coding, testing and documenting applications programs from detailed specifications. This position is also responsible for participating in the preparation of specifications from which programs will be written.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Participate in gathering specifications from users
  • Assist in refining system specifications
  • Translate detailed program specifications for less complex problems into coded computer instructions
  • Create and/ or modify programs to adapt to changes in needs and requirements, with supervision
  • Test coded program routines and makes revisions to eliminate errors, with supervision
  • Review test results with users, completes final program documentation, and obtains approval for changes
  • Analyze issues and uses judgement to make decisions

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Basic knowledge of a coding language
  • Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases
  • Development knowledge of all phases of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and timeliness in order to meet customer service expectations
  • Demonstrates effective problem solving skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Perform tasks within predefined guidelines and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of data modeling
  • Basic understanding of Informatica PowerCenter
