BAE Systems is the prime contractor for the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) program with DHS, supporting a large-scale integration and development program effort in an Agile development environment. This BAE Systems program supports our federal customer who plays a key role in providing direct cybersecurity engineering support. BAE Systems provides systems and security engineering and integration support to specific Government-sponsored projects, pilots and prototypes. This includes solution planning and engineering, program and project management, information security, enterprise architecture, interoperability and integration, system testing, Verification and Validation, modeling and simulation, studies and analysis, and project risk and schedule management. As part of the SE&I team, you will help to develop and maintain the customer's SharePoint applications and architecture.

The Junior SharePoint Developer is a member of the Project Support Team directly supporting the customer’s Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for developing and maintaining the customer's multiple SharePoint sites, libraries, etc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with teammates to gather business requirements, design new applications, and develop timelines for implementation

  • Create new applications and migrate data across networks - to include developing, configuring and implementing PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate (Flow), to drive efficiencies, system integration and data integrity within the various business functions within the customer's environment

  • Identify new areas and business processes where PowerApps/SharePoint can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement

  • Collaborate with the team to align reporting and data analytics currently being developed


**This position is eligible for maximum telework (>50%) for applicants residing in the National Capital Region (DC, MD, VA).**

**This position’s office location can be either Sterling, VA, or Rockville, MD.**


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Active Secret clearance or higher

  • 3+ years - Experience developing and supporting SharePoint Applications

  • Solid understanding of SharePoint architecture

  • Experience managing SharePoint permissions (Site Permissions, Document Library / List Permissions, Break Inheritance)

  • Knowledge of managing SharePoint lists and document libraries (filter, sorting, custom views)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience using MS Forms or 3rd party forms for data collection (Nintex, InfoPath, etc.)

  • Experience developing MS Project applications within a SharePoint environment

  • Experience configuring and implementing PowerApps and Power Automate (Flow)

  • Experience with MS Azure architecture and SharePoint Online versions

  • Experience developing in MS PowerApps Portal with SQL Database (Data verse)

  • Experience creating views in Data Verse

  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies associated with SharePoint and Office 365 products

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Sound understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods

  • Experience working directly with government customers as well as other contractors in performance duties

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - a team player
