Internship Term: Winter 2022

Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May/June 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, evaluation, and buyoff of the equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate acceptance checklist and test of the equipment.
  • Manage equipment related document, drafting SOPs for maintenance and operation.
  • Manage equipment spare parts and drawing.
  • Support equipment installation and setup in the factory.
  • Solve equipment or mechanical problems using data driven methodologies.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science or closely related industry), MS/PhD preferred
  • Previous history of internships, co-ops work in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in mechanical design (2D/3D CAD, P&IDs, PFDs, DFMEA)
  • Experience working on cell manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with metrology equipment and Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R)
  • Familiarity with statistical-based Design of Experiments (DOE) and software (Minitab, JMP)
