Evergreen Strategy Group – a social impact, public policy, and communications agency – is seeking Interns with excellent writing and research skills to help with day-to-day operations this spring. The ideal candidate will be motivated, a good collaborator, detail-oriented, a fast-learner, and interested in a wide variety of public policy issues.

As part of the Evergreen team, you will contribute to strategies and campaigns that help purpose-driven organizations make progress on important issues, from climate change to voting rights to gun violence prevention, and more.

Intern responsibilities include:

    • Writing: Draft blog posts, op-eds, briefings, and memos on policy topics and political issues.
    • Research: Collect background material on potential clients, reporters and news outlets, legislation and policy developments across various issue areas, and current events. Contribute research to inform messaging development, speechwriting, policy memos, and other written products.

Experience and Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled student in an accredited college or university;
    • Previous internship experience a plus;
    • Excellent writing and research skills;
    • Strong attention to detail;
    • Positive attitude and ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a virtual work environment.
This is a remote position and ~10 hrs/week is expected. The position will run from January 10, 2022 through May 27, 2022, although exact start and end dates can be discussed based on academic calendars. Pay is $15/hr. Mentorship and professional development will be priorities, and we will offer opportunities for you to network and meet virtually with other interns from around the country.
