Intern, Business Development
We are searching for a committed, deadline-driven Business Development Intern to join the MMIT BD Team. The Intern will complete all tasks assigned by the Manager, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, participating in meetings, and assisting the BD and sales teams wherever possible. You should be able to take instruction, but also work unsupervised when required.
To be successful as a BD Intern, you should be willing to learn as much about the company as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others. BD Interns are problem solvers who know the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients.
The Business Development intern is a position which will require in-person attendance at company and client meetings. Therefore, you will be required to travel (on airplanes, in taxis, hotels, etc.), attend in-person meetings, and make presentations to live audiences. In addition, this is a client-facing role and all of the clients to which you may be assigned will not allow their employees or vendors to attend in-person meetings without proof of full vaccination (regardless of testing status).
The key responsibilities for this role will be:
Working closely with the BD Manager or assigned BD team member, and completing all allocated tasks.
Conducting research or gathering information through available tools and applications
Participating in meetings, training and events
Updating CRM and any relevant sales and marketing databases
Reviewing sales performance against sales targets.
Observing and carrying out sales processes.
Identifying potential weaknesses and offering improvement suggestions.
Assisting managers with negotiations.
Keeping a log of everything learned and delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders.

Qualifications
High school diploma or similar.
Degree Program in Marketing or Business preferred.
Strong self-motivation.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Proficiency in a foreign language would be advantageous.
Ability to cope with rejection.
Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments.
Superb interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
Location: Yardley, PA or remote
Travel Requirements: 20% or more.
Preferred candidates will be primarily homebased but must be within a drivable radius of either our Yardley, PA office and be willing to work from those locations as needed
