Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Junior Copywriter who would be responsible for concepting, writing, and executing innovative materials for various projects. Creative output should consistently satisfy clients' and Agency's objectives and expectations. May present work at various internal presentations.
This is an exciting opportunity to start in the Advertising field as part of an incredible and supportive creative team to handcraft direct to consumer communications, and partner with the team to build meaningful campaigns.
You enjoy working with cross-functional teams to bring fully integrated, multi-channel campaigns to life. You will learn a wide array of marketing concepts, channels, and executions.
You have an innate curiosity and drive to find compelling new ways and channels to engage consumers and are constantly searching for new ways of constructing effective e and inspiring strategies and creative.

***An important NOTE on location and REMOTE options:
While this role is based out of our Costa Mesa office, work can be done remotely for strong qualified candidates, but have to be local due to client considerations and location.
Candidates local to Orange County will ideally be aligned with a hybrid work model that combines working remotely from home and working on-site in our Costa Mesa office. This approach allows us to offer the flexibility of remote work on some days, while also offering the opportunity for the in-person collaboration that many of our team members have missed. Thank you!
What you'll do:
- Innovate | Create interactive concepts and campaigns.
- Translate | Capture brand voice in interactive marketing materials including site copy, emails, and banner ads, based on established brand voice and tone.
- Craft | Manage several projects/campaigns at a time.
- Researcher | Proactively research information as it pertains to your projects. Maintain awareness of competitor projects in the marketplace.
- Craft | Juggle many projects and campaigns simultaneously. Conceptualize new campaign ideas.
- Collaborate |Actively work with art directors in the creation of written solutions incorporating concepts/ideas and the concepts/ideas of the team.
- Energize | Support client presentations and reviews, and work with team to achieve results.

What you'll need:
- Minimum of 1 year of professional writing role in advertising.
- A growing portfolio that demonstrates your copywriting depth and range.
- Ability to demonstrate conceptual and written skills.
- Developing ability to present ideas effectively.
- Ability to talk about/sell your work internally.
- Ability to listen and understand client feedback and feedback from internal critiques.
- A command of language, grammar and the written word.
- Ability to create and execute your ideas in an efficient, organized way.
- Is developing his/her leadership and team building skills.
- An ability to manage your own time and workload with assistance from your project managers.
- The capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Energy, initiative, and drive to succeed.
