Data Science Intern, Dataset and Generations - Summer 2022

4.2

NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to grow our company, and build our teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.

We’re interested in hiring Data Science interns to work at the confluence of two related efforts! Data science blueprints and data science workstation samples, which are self-contained examples of machine learning techniques designed to educate data scientists and serve as starting points for future work. These efforts are aligned and complementary. Both emphasize reusability, reproducibility, and software quality, and their results can work together: a sample can serve as the basis for a new blueprint and a blueprint can provide a broader context for samples to fit in. We are now looking for Data Science Intern!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build an accelerated machines learning system to demonstrate innovative hardware and software solving a real problem

  • Find and curate exciting open data sets as well as design realistic synthetic data sets or data generators

  • Curate and find open datasets and build novel techniques to generate realistic synthetic data from real-word datasets

What we need to see:

  • Excellent written communication, mathematical maturity

  • Pursuing a bachelors degree

  • Experience with version control and software engineering

  • Experience programming with data in high- level language like Python, R, or Julia

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Specific experience with probabilistic programming, simulation, and the RAPIDS ecosystem
