Temporary Jr. Insurance Oversight Analyst

Cognosante is very happy to serve on the Enrollment Resolution and Reconciliation, Form 1095-A Reporting program. We take great pride and care in the work we do to assist our fellow citizens. In our efforts, Cognosante is seeking dynamic contributors to help us exceed expectations of the program. The Insurance Oversight Analyst plays a significant role on a team supporting case analysis and reconciliation of data from the health insurance exchange. As an Insurance Oversight Analyst, you will have the opportunity to utilize your data analysis experience and skills for research, remediation, case management and troubleshooting. You will also be a contributor to project coordination, workflow investigations, business procedures and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and solving consumer disputes related to their elected healthcare coverage as outlined on their Form 1095-A
  • Making outbound calls to consumers to gather information or deliver the outcome of our research
  • Complete casework in a timely manner to meet agreed upon service level agreements.
  • Maintain quality standards per established guidelines for all work performed
  • Applying triage, research, collaboration and technical knowledge to resolve transaction and processing issues
  • Assisting less experienced case analysts or new hires with questions related to case work
  • Analyzing of discrepancies in the eligibility reconciliation process for multiple stakeholders
  • Reporting findings for continuous process improvement of the resolution and reconciliation process
  • Executing additional duties, as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Must have high school diploma and 3 years of related experience OR Associates and 3 years of related experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Prior experience in scheduling and facilitating meetings
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to work overtime as required


Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.

Additional Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with casework involving following an established process


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare
  • Experience with the Affordable Care Act
  • Experience with enrollment transactions and eligibility
  • Experience with Federal contracts, a plus
  • Positive attitude and able to thrive in a team environment
