Job Description
Shield AI’s Internship Program has begun its search for talented summer 2022 interns. You will have an opportunity to spend the summer with us in America's Finest City—San Diego—or in a remote capacity, solving big problems with significant stakes whose solutions impact our nation’s most critical challenges. We know it will take the best of the best to get there.
What you'll do:
- Work on real projects, meaningful and interesting work, with a mentor to guide you.
- Have a great learning experience with a humble, inspiring team.
- Contribute to the development of a cutting-edge data analysis platform
- Develop your skillset with Python and Go by adding features to our microservice environment
- Work with bleeding edge technologies such as gRPC, Protocol Buffers, GoLang, React, et al.
- See your contributions enable actual robots that will be fielded in some of the most dangerous places in the world to execute missions that will save lives
Projects you might work on:
- Extend our gRPC or GraphQL based web service capabilities to support rich, complex, performance-optimized user interfaces.
- Build game-changing capabilities leveraging our microservice environment.
- Contribute to our cloud and on-prem container orchestration systems.
- Optimize data integration and analysis pipelines using latest containerization technologies.

Requirements:
- You are an undergraduate or graduate student expected to graduate in Winter 2022 or Summer 2023.
- You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
- You have a passion for building complex systems.
