IT Junior Cloud Engineer
We are a Veteran-owned company that supports a collection of companies working directly with Veterans to help them maximize their VA disability compensation. We assist by helping these Veterans with the critical documentation and medical records-gathering process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for IT Junior Cloud Engineer:
- Maintain and support cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for efficiency.
- Expand and maintain a library of infrastructure as code templates representing all components of our cloud infrastructure.
- Works with Cloud Engineer to deliver SaaS and PaaS using AWS.
- Ensure cloud resources are keep up to date with latest security patches and best practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Manage and perform application deployments and rollbacks.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports each entity's mission and vision, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality guidelines and code of ethical behavior.
- Flexible to work outside of standard office hours if requested with proper notice.
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
Required Skills & Competencies for IT Junior Cloud Engineer:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1+ year(s) configuring and managing server environments that demonstrates a solid working knowledge of networking, security, and access management.
- Bonus: AWS DevOps Engineer certified.
- Bonus: CompTIA Linux Admin (or similar) certified.
- Strong understanding of system administration principles including security and networking.
- Experience scripting in JavaScript, Python, PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience with configuring Linux-based servers such as Ubuntu or SUSE.
- Familiarity with containers and container orchestration tools such as Docker, Amazon ECS (Fargate) and/or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
- Basic understanding of the IAC approach to configuration management and infrastructure provisioning.
- Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional level of concentration and commitment.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Willing to teach others and work in a team environment.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010-2016 (including Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe PDF Reader, VoIP Phone Systems, Google Apps for Business, and CRM or basic database knowledge.
- Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, frequently type and converse over the phone (4 or more hours a day).
- Requires the ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Requires to ability to work occasional shifts outside of working hours.
- Bonus: Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Bonus: Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
- Bonus: Experience deploying containerized applications with orchestrators such as AWS ECS, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
This position is remote. We are mandating remote employees have a minimum internet speed of 10 Download/5 Upload to be eligible for hire.
