About the Position:

As an intern at XY Learning Center (XYLC), you’ll lend a cheerful and energetic hand to support the Director in the operation of our childcare center in the heart of downtown Bozeman. You’ll assist with managing administration duties to stay in compliance with Montana State Licensing and carry out tasks that help keep the operations of XYLC organized. During this internship, you’ll not only have the opportunity to help assist with day-to-day operations but also learn about best practices of managing a childcare center.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work alongside the Director managing enrollment paperwork

• Help XYLC’s Director spread the word about the center through advertising and marketing

• Assist in communicating with families that are enrolled at XYLC

• Support and assist in implementing XYLC’s policies and procedures

• Occasionally work alongside the Childcare Specialists in helping children with personal tasks, including but not limited to meals, diaper changes, and nap time routines

• Collaborate with other team members and the Director to provide quality childcare and support XYLC’s goals

Status: Part-Time, long-term (15 - 20 hours/week)

What You'll Bring to the Table:

Must-Haves

• Authorized to live and work in the United States

• Currently enrolled in college (freshmen through seniors)

• Relevant experience or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or Education

• Comfort caring for and connecting with children of all ages and abilities, including infants

• Desire and ability to engage in physical and educational play activities with children
