Role Summary:
The Junior User Experience Designer will participate in planning, design and development activities to create the user experience for web-based applications and mobile devices. User Interface/Experience design activities include establishing interactive conventions, assisting in gathering user requirements, mocking-up user experiences, participating in trade-off discussions with development teams and subject matter experts, analyzing tool sets, creating screen mock-ups and helping customers to imagine new kinds of interactive techniques and technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop prototypes, wireframes, information architecture, and other design documents
- Define and create specifications for innovative user interfaces (web/mobile/tablet)
- Effectively document and communicate design concepts and specifications
- Conduct User Tests based on prototypes and wireframes
- Stay up to date on current trends in interaction design such as Responsive Web Design
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Essential Skills, Experience and Education:
- Degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in a design related field is required
- Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design methodology
- Experience creating process flows, wireframes, and mockups to effectively conceptualize and present detailed interaction behaviors
- Proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator and working knowledge of Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch or OmniGraffle, at various design stages
- Knowledge of web development processes and mobile technologies
- Experience with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML/CSS/JS, Highcharts a plus
- Ability to work in a cross functional team environment in an agile development process
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Experience collaborating and working closely with UX team members
