We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced junior to mid-level attorney to join the small Marketing Law Compliance department in our family of agencies. This is a great position for someone who enjoys an advertising agency environment, culture and pace.
Qualifications:
Our ideal Attorney candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) with strong academic credentials
- Current CT, IL, NY, and/or TX state bar admission(s) in good standing, or eligibility to become qualified to practice in-house in one of those jurisdictions
- At least four years of experience practicing law in a law firm and/or an in-house law department
- Substantive experience with advertising and marketing law, including both print and digital, ideally with CPG products, is preferred, but not required
- Working familiarity with FTC guidelines, including alcohol advertising guidelines
- Experience conducting routine “knockout” trademark searches via the USPTO’s TESS database
- Experience with technology, social media, trademarks and other intellectual property licenses generally
- Ability to analyze complex issues and propose both legally and commercially viable solutions to a broad range of in-house clients
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- A team-first positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively under time pressure
While this position is remote for the foreseeable future, there is a strong preference for a candidate who can commit to being based out of our Dallas (Las Colinas) office in the long term.
