Digital Marketing Intern (Remote)

The Digital Marketing Department designs, builds and maintains social and digital presence for artists across all Digital Service Providers and social networks. We measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and reach goals for each of the labels. We optimize spends and performance based on trends and insights gained from analytics.

As the Digital Marketing Intern, you will assist the digital marketing team in achieving our campaign goals for each artist and label. From the creation and planning stage of the campaign, to execution and then following up with results for future success. You will collaborate with the marketing and advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns and will help develop, expand, and maintain marketing channels. This role will support the digital marketing team, in advertising and direct to consumer marketing (text, email, social).

Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to hone your skills and learn from the best, while making professional connections. Our goal is to help you develop your talents and skills to support the success of the team and to mentor you so that you can grow your skills as a digital marketer in the music industry. Our virtual Fall Internship will run from September 13th-November 19th and students can work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This internship is a paid remote internship and requires a working, reliable internet connection and a productive work space.
Responsibilities:
What you’ll do:
  • Learn to identify strategies, procedures and increase skills in the digital media space.
  • Be a part of the strategic marketing planning process
  • Designing marketing materials; devising, designing and editing marketing assets in campaigns for the use of email, advertising and social.
  • Designing marketing communications, such as writing copy and editing assets for advertising & client relationship management
  • Help execute and manage small advertising campaigns and email campaignsacross the different platforms, from writing copy to checking links to adjusting spends and targeting
  • Identifying trends and reporting results and analytical data; track and report marketing metrics,trends, conversion rates, engagement, click through, spends, consumer data and web
Qualifications:
What you need to succeed:
  • Be enrolled as a student in a Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related degree program; have recently graduated from; or have some other demonstrated passion/experience for Digital Marketing in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with good writing abilities
  • Have some knowledge about how social media tools work, experience with social media analytics, a plus
  • An eye for design, ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, indesign, etc.), Canva and other design tools
  • Experience with or knowledge of, social media analytics tools
  • Passion for the entertainment/music industry and a desire for a career as a digital marketer in this industry.
  • Passion and appreciation for all types of music genres
  • This internship is a paid remote internship and requires a working, reliable internet connection and a productive work space
  • The timeline of this internship programs runs from Monday, January 24th to Friday, April 1st
  • Candidate must be available to work at least 20 hours/week for the duration of the internship
