Marketing Intern -Fantasy Records (Remote)

The Digital Marketing Department designs, builds and maintains social and digital presence for artists across all Digital Service Providers and social networks. We measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and reach goals for each of the labels. We optimize media spend and performance based on trends and insights gained from analytics.

As the Digital Marketing and Publicity Intern,
you will learn about digital marketing, social media, basic graphic design and public relations. As the intern, you will maintain tour dates, formatting graphics, doing music industry related research, basic excel/data tracking sheets, playlist research, basic communication with other departments, collecting assets and help out with some foundational marketing administative tasks. You will work alongside and provide support to our marketing/digital marketing and publicity department (mostly tour press). You will collaborate with these teams at all stages of marketing campaigns and will help develop, expand, and maintain marketing channels.

Our goal is to help you develop your talents and skills to support the success of the team and to mentor you so that you can grow your skills as a marketer in the music industry. Our Virtual Spring Internship Program will run from Monday, January 24th to Friday, April 1st and students can work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.This internship is a paid remote internship and requires a working, reliable internet connection and a productive work space.
Responsibilities:
What you’ll do:
  • Help with creation of social media marketing assets ie. banners, flyers that require minimal editing knowledge
  • Assistance with social media calendars
  • Help with industry related research in various areas (for example: previous interns have helped create a timeline of rollout for artists that our outside of the Concord family)
  • Generate and maintain basic spreadsheets (i.e. track tour dates, ticketing info, misc. artist data)
  • Update and maintain online media kits
  • Update weekly Fantasy playlist log (google sheets)
  • Update press databases and input information, data, and records
  • Draft written assets for press needs i.e. pitches, calendar listings
  • Research trends on TikTok and help maintain artist and label TikTok profiles
  • Generate basic digital marketing reports i.e tracking. follower counts, view counts, comments etc.
  • Assistance with office administration (making reservations, printing meeting agendas, inventory tracking etc.)
  • Assistance with mailings (records, promo items, etc.)
Qualifications:
What you need to succeed:
  • Be enrolled as a student in a Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related degree program; have recently graduated from; or have some other demonstrated passion/experience for Music Marketing in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with exceptional writing abilities
  • Have some knowledge about how social media tools work, experience with social media analytics, a plus
  • An eye for design, basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, indesign, etc.), Canva and other design tools
  • Experience with or knowledge of, social media analytics tools
  • Passion for the entertainment/music industry and a desire for a career as a marketer in this industry.
  • Passion and appreciation for all types of music genres, especially those on the Fantasy Records roster
