Position Responsibilities

• 
  Assist with preparation and distribution of public relations materials
• Carry out special event/media event planning activities
• Undertake a variety of writing assignments
• Organize database of news media contacts Capture news media clippings
• Attending events where news media are present.
• Utilize judgment in the presence of news media.
• Writing for social media channels
• Assist with development of web content and social media content.
• Assist with research activities related to marketing and communications.
• Assist with development of new releases, reports, and other items.
• Participate in meetings, presentations and other sessions as directed.
• Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.

• High School Diploma required; Internship - close to graduating undergraduate work or recent college graduate
• Minimum of 3 months experience required; Some college experience writing and doing journalism or public relations projects
