Job Description

The Intern for the Assessment and Selection COE will work on applying knowledge of personnel selection principles and best practices to the global organization in order to standardize selection practices. This is an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge while also gaining valuable work experience. The main responsibilities of the intern will be to conduct job analysis, selection tool implementation and validation studies in order to expand the footprint of pre-hire testing at our Company. This position contributes significantly to our Company’s Assessment and Selection strategy and partners with colleagues to ensure the right talent is being selected into the organization through research-based practices and tools that are reliable, valid, and fair.
The work environment provides the flexibility for remote work and varying hours based on a school schedule. Office space may be available if the intern wishes to work at the Kenilworth, NJ site or at one of the Pennsylvania sites.
Job Description/Duties:
Develop and maintain a suite of assessment tools for use in talent acquisition across the Company.
Partner with colleagues across HR to ensure assessment tools are in place for key roles or capabilities in the organization.

Consult with divisional and regional Talent Acquisition teams, for application to their clients.
Opportunity to interview and observe job incumbents in multiple roles throughout the organization.
Conduct background research on different jobs – able to use and find multiple sources of information to develop a comprehensive understanding of the job in question.
Analyze data – both quantitative and qualitative. May need to adjust job analytical work/approach based on data that incumbents provide in real time.
Assist in the management of the relationships with assessment suppliers to ensure optimal mix of quality, ease of use, cost, etc.
Partner with suppliers, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations to execute front-end and back-end components to assessment including: job analysis, job specification, and adverse impact analyses.
Develop internal assessment solutions and perform assessment services as needed.
Build comprehensive documentation in accordance with standards and best practices for job analysis reporting.
Coordinate and execute strategic steps for project implantation.
Required Education and Experience:
Candidates must be Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or enrolled in a Ph.D. program (ABD status preferred)
Candidates must have skills in research design, job analysis, statistics, and employee selection and assessment
Candidates must have qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
Candidates must have background in behavioral assessment
Candidates must have excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Candidates must be able to coordinate and execute logistical components of projects
Candidates must have strong learning orientation – the ability to think or react quickly and effectively
Candidates must have strong client service orientation
Candidates must have exceptional collaboration skills. Flexibility to meet business needs while moving key programs and priorities forward.
Candidates must have discretion, comfort and confidentiality in working with very sensitive information.
