Position Summary:
The Development Shared Service (DSS) Section at Mayo Clinic is looking for a highly skilled, highly motivated, software developer internship (spring/summer or summer/fall) to help design and develop custom software for Mayo Clinic. Due to the candidate being added to one of our scrum teams, we require six month commitments, full-time remote (40 hours/week) during the summer and part-time remote (20 hours/week) while they are at school. This individual will help develop common frameworks and systems to be used across all clinical specialties. This is a very agile team and individuals applying must be comfortable with fast paced development and rapid change. Software development within the team can expose the individual to the following technologies and tools.
Qualifications
The incumbent must be enrolled in a bachelors, masters or graduate degree program from a college or university. Typically, this internship would occur after the student has taken most of the courses required by the degree program.
Where applicable - the degree program must require an internship as a graduation requirement (or offer as a credit option).
Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

- TestNG, MSTest, JUnit, Jasmine & Karma, and Mocha for automated unit testing
- TestCafe, WebdriverIO, and Selenium for automated functional, integration, end-to-end testing
- Git for source version control
- Azure cloud servers and infrastructure
- Visual Studio or IntelliJ IDE, with JetBrains tooling
- Azure DevOps for work management, CI and CD automated pipeline

This opportunity is a non-benefits, temporary employment intended for a student's learning. This opportunity is also part time and not eligible for benefits.
The primary purpose of the Internship is to provide an intern with relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern.
