Corporate Legal Intern
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Legal Intern is responsible for working on special projects including agreement audits, identifying and documenting agreement owners, collaborative agreement audits, collaborating with health and wellness centers to confirm requisite postings, support policy management system launch and maintenance, and more. This role may also support other legal and compliance initiatives as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities vary based on the team to which the Intern is assigned. Generally, duties will include the following:
- Collaborates on preparing for organization policy management system and related maintenance.
- Audits agreements; confirms and documents appropriate owner.
- Creates, maintains and updates spreadsheets in support of projects.
- Learns processes and procedures relevant to the team assigned.
- Shadows and participates in meetings.
- Identifies and supports process improvements.
- Assists with the preparation and delivery of materials for internal and external use.
- Supports various office administrative duties.
- Performs data entry and analysis as needed.
- Prepares presentations and spreadsheets as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education:
- Must be pursuing or enrolled in a higher education program including but not limited to a Bachelors, Masters or JD.
- Recent graduates of Bachelors, Masters or JD program will also be considered.
- Students with a GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: none required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
