Junior Archiving Analyst

This is a remote/teleworking position.

This position will support the effort to reduce the database size of Navy ERP database by archiving with a phased or agile approach.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides functional data management support to include the effective execution of Master Data Management, Master Mata Maintenance and Data Governance practices and techniques.
  • Design, recommend and implement data security model and access control mechanisms and processes.
  • Design and implement data archiving capabilities across multiple platforms.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of technical and strategic experience of designing and implementing data archiving capabilities across multiple platforms.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Knowledge of new emerging technologies such as SAP HANA or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desired experience within ERP/SAP in at least two (2) or more of the following listed below:
  • SAP T-Codes, Applications, and Tools; BI (including BW, BODS, BAPI); Data Archiving; Data Migration; Data Conversion and Data Loads; Data Distribution; Data Maintenance; Data Governance; Data Analysis; Data Extracts and Reporting; Data Mapping; Data Validation; Data Reconciliation; and Data Refreshes and Upgrades.
  • Desired experience with the following:
    • Relational and Object-Oriented Databases
    • Programming Languages (e.g. JAVA, SQL, C, C+, …)
    • Data Management Tools (e.g. MDG, Attunity Gold Client Software,
    • SAP Archiving, Oracle, Informatica
    • Data Modelling Tools (e.g. ERWIN, SAFYR, SADIE)
    • Data Reporting Tools (e.g. Cognos, Crystal Reports, SAS, …)
    • SAP Tools, Configuration and Release Management Tools (e.g. Dimensions, HEAT, QC).


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevant discipline. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
